Custom Majorettes - A Love Affair

As a young boy, my parents vacationed often in the Netherlands, where they were born. I always looked forward to going for many reasons:

1. To see my grandparents and Aunt and Uncle
2. To feed my face with Patat, Krokets and Freakadels, Dutch licorice and Tum Tums
3. To check out all the cool cars and trucks that I never got to see in the US
4. To pick up all the cool new Majorettes that I missed from the year(s) before

So I have a real good fondness for these older French classics...and I just love finding these older ones from the 1960s, 70s and 80s in really bad shape so that I can take them and restore them to colors that they were never issued in. I hope that you will enjoy the finished product as much as I loved customizing them.

My Latest Finds April 6, 2011

Here is just a few of the new gems that made their way into my collection. I really need to start organizing my non-Matchbox collection as I am starting to have trouble keeping them organized etc. A good problem to have I guess though. Let me know what you would like to see in the future and I will see what I can do.

We will start out with a few Johnny lightnings first.

Some more new Hot Wheels...I have been reading on the HWs site from a Mattel Moderator that the price of HWs and Matchbox are going up about .10 cents a unit. While this is not good news, I guess it was bound to happen.

And now for some more new Matchbox...

And some new Welly's that I received in trade from my friend AusDave in Australia.
