Happy New Year fellow diecast collectors. I have recently returned from a 2 week vacation in Germany with my wife, two boys and Mother-in-law (we get along great thankfully) that allowed a day trip to France and a stopover in the Paris Airport due to being delayed almost two days in Iceland. It was not a diecast hunting trip, but I did manage to stop in a few stores. We hit quite a few Christmas Markets in Germany which yielded me a number of newer Welly castings, even though they are the pullback versions which I am okay with. I was only able to stop in one ToysRus in Munich and one 'Real' department store in the black forest in a town called Horb am Neckar. I was told not to expect snow by a few Germans at the airport, but snow started falling Christmas night and continued until New Year's Eve:) So much for no snow...and there was a lot.
In any case, I took some quick picks of my finds for your viewing pleasure. I will do separate post here by manufacturer in the coming weeks, but if there is something you want to see first, please ask and I will do my best to update the blog with your request.
