New Majorette S.O.S. Dubai Police Cars

Majorette is just KILLING it in the International markets, sometimes referred to as Rest of World (ROW) in Matchbox speak. They are gaining a foothold into different country markets by marketing their police (SOS) and emergency vehicles specifically for each country. The latest is Dubai. Matchbox needs to take a leason here...all photos are courtesy of Bedouinbkk.

Just Check these out....so smart and detailed and no limits on details like Matchbox has.

New Matchbox Release for March 2016

Here are some of my latest Matchbox purchases. I do not buy all models since 2014 so many will be missing, mainly generic rubbish and plastic.I did not buy the following 9 packs...too much generic crap and not exclusive except the one model.

Matchbox 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe in Stock and Custom Form

Finally I got my grubby little mits on this gem...found at Toys R Us in the new 'grab boxes' for $1.09. I really like the execution of the model but the wheels could have been more aggressive looking...and that is where I come in. I always keep one mint but like to buy a 2nd to detail and customize and that was the path I took here as well. I hope you like my interpretation of how I would have released this casting.

Added silver trim to grill and added red to Jaguar logo. My research online showed the silver detail is optional as many I saw did not have the trim highlighted.

Added silver to exhaust tips

While I like the stock wheels...wrong choice for this beast!

Had to detail the windows...too plain without it!

This is how they were found...very nice artwork and I love the box but....

Mattel 'GLUED' them shut...facepalm!

The Matchbox team could have sealed them in plastic wrap like Tomica does and still include the flaps but I digress. Until next time...

Matchbox 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk - Production and Custom Comparison

Production on left and custom on right of @matchboxworld's 2014 #jeep #cherokee #trailhawk with #bestofmatchbox type #realriders . In my opinion, this is the type of vehicles those wheels belong on, not #bmw and #mini #panelvans. Matchbox designers, create a new rubber wheel for street cars...can't be lazy...tell the beancounters to go pound sand please. This jeep casting is straight out awesome and not even a fan of the real thing.The new licensed castings are getting to be pretty nice so keep it up.

I also took the liberty to add details such as wipers, side windows, tow-hooks, fog-lamps and rear lower lights.

Details make all the difference!
